[Project Web Design #1] SEO

SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization. I first heard this word by my friend last year (He took the 3382 course last year too). But I didn’t know it so much at that time. Currently, I found a good web which talks about SEO and it gives me a clear image on what SEO is and what it can do.

The site told us some “hints” on how to make a web site popular (that can be easily found in the search engine without doing any advertisement). 

The following are some hints that I think is useful and simple to adopt:

1. Web contents contain keywords.

2. Head section contains keywords.

3. Use special html tab to indicate the keyword such as heading, paragraph and bold or italic.

4. Use keyword for the domain name of the web.

5. The name of website directories should includes the keywords.

6. Keeping on updating the website is necessary.

7. Hyperlinking from other famous site.

I would like to try it in the Extreme Web Designer Award in coming days. I hope this can help me the win the prize and get the bonus points
